Why Jordan Klepper thinks we’re living in “dumb McCarthyism”

In this episode of Mashable’s Say More, Executive Producer Mark Stetson sits down with comedian and Daily Show host Jordan Klepper to discuss his new special, Red Flags. Klepper shares the improv techniques he uses to disarm attendees at Trump rallies, unpacks the right’s obsession with the “communism” boogeyman, and reflects on the exhausting reality of what he calls “dumb McCarthyism.” From his character-driven days on The Opposition to his current need for comedic authenticity in a post-truth world, Klepper offers a candid, behind-the-scenes look at the challenges, frustrations, and absurdities of political satire today.
